The 16-year-old teenager who was reported missing on Monday has returned home, Cherokee County Sheriff's Office authorities confirmed.
Sheriff's Office Spokesman Lt. Jay Baker said Benjamin Zimmerman returned home on his own around noon today. Zimmerman was reported missing and officials thought the teen may have been trying to leave the state.
Baker added there was "no indication he went to California."
Before returning home, Benjamin was last seen around 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 1. Official stated the teen didn't have a cell phone and noted it was Saturday when he last spoke to his father.
