Man Charged Again in Murder-for-Hire Plot - Duluth Patch
Gwinnett County Police say an incarcerated man arrested on murder-for-hire charges is trying to make plans to kill the same Norcross man again.
In November, a plain-clothes officer met with the suspect, 65-year-old Duluth resident Joseph Memar, during his visitation time, according to a news release from Gwinnett Police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith.
Memar offered the undercover officer $10,000 to kill his original victim, Alireza Jebraeilli of Norcross. Jebraeilli is his former business partner whom Memar allegedly arranged a hit to kill in June. Duluth Patch has additional details.
North Forsyth Student Dead, 4 Others Injured in Crash- Cumming Patch
A senior at North Forsyth High School is dead and another student, a junior, was injured after a fatal car crash on Hendrix Road, about a mile north of Highway 369 Monday afternoon, according to authorities.
Kyle Alan Robins, 17, of Gainesville, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, a press release stated. See Cumming Patch for more on this story .
Woman Killed in Possible Gang Shooting in Norcross Area - Norcross Patch
A woman was shot and killed in unincorporated Norcross early Sunday in what police believe was an incident related to criminal street gang activity.
The woman, identified as 21-year-old Malia Arianne Ross-Robinson, was shot at 4161 Phil Niekro Parkway off Beaver Ruin Road around 4:15 a.m. Dec. 9. She was transported to a local hospital where she died from her injuries, according to a news release from Gwinnett County Police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith.
