According to the most recent Georgia Department of Labor statistics, unemployment has decreased slightly in some of the metro area. However, with the current job market the way it is, many people are willing to take whatever position they're offered - even if they're overqualified.

A study out Monday by the Center for College Affordability & Productivity finds nearly half of working Americans with college degrees are overqualified for their jobs.

The study is based on 2010 Labor Department data, which suggests the stock of college graduates in the workforce is larger than the number of jobs requiring a college degree. According to a USA Today report, which details the study, 15 percent of taxi drivers in 2010 had bachelor's degrees vs. 1 percent in 1970; and of retail sales clerks 25 percent had a bachelor's degree in 2010, compared to less than 5 percent in 1970.

Do you agree with the new report? Has a college degree gotten you and your loved ones the jobs you want, or are you too overqualified for your position? Tell us in the comments section below.
