Police Locate U-Haul Used in Buckhead Smash-and-Grab - Buckhead Patch

Atlanta Police have located the abandoned U-Haul truck used early Monday morning to smash the front of a Radio Shack before suspects burglarized it. Police are still seeking the suspects involved in the incident.

Just minutes after 4:30 a.m. on Monday, Atlanta Police Zone 2 officers responded to a burglary call at the Radio Shack, located near Sidney Marcus Boulevard and Piedmont Road, according to a statement from APD Sgt. Greg Lyon. For more on this story, visit Buckhead Patch.


Parents Arrested After Teenage Girls Fight on Video

The parents of a Tucker Middle School seventh-grader are facing charges for allegedly encouraging their daughter to fight with another girl at a bus stop after class on Friday. 

"It just broke my heart to know that parents would allow this to happen. And for my child to be there with nobody," Quateka Durden told WSB-TV. Durden's daughter was the other girl involved in the fight. Read more on Tucker Patch.


Firefighters Free Elderly Woman From Overturned SUV After Late-Night Collision

Sandy Springs Firefighters carefully picked apart a Mercury Mountaineer, late Friday night, to rescue an elderly woman involved in a multi-car collision on Roswell Road just south of Hightower Trail.

Don't Look! Santa Speedo Run Streaks Through Midtown

It was a balmy 65 degrees Saturday afternoon for the fourth annual Atlanta Santa Speedo Run as an estimated 300 scantily dressed runners hit the Midtown streets for a good cause.
