Fourteen academic superstars from Canton maintained a minimum 3.5 grade point average while carrying a full-time course load.
And Oglethorpe University and Georgia Southern University rewarded their efforts by naming them to their schools' spring 2012 Dean's Lists.
At Oglethorpe, business major Kathryn Galli was one of about 240 students to earn the designation.
The remaining 13 Canton residents were among the 2,398 students named to Georgia Southern University's Dean's List.

- Brittany Maragh, a fashion merchandising & apparel major
- Lindsie Teter, a pre-multimedia communication major
