A Woodstock resident recently purchased a Georgia Lottery ticket worth $250,000.
Glenis Morales purchased a ticket for the Atlanta Falcons Cash Blowout instant game at Kroger in Towne Lake. Morales claimed her prize on Nov. 7 at the Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta. She and her husband Eduardo have three children and are excited about the win.
“We’re looking to buy a new house,” said Morales.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $13.8 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program.
More than 1.4 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.2 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary pre-kindergarten program.
