A pedestrian was hit and killed along Interstate 575 late Wednesday night in Woodstock, according to CBS Atlanta.
The victim was struck in the southbound lane between the new Ridgewalk Parkway interchange under construction and Towne Lake Parkway. Woodstock Police Spokeswoman Brittany Duncan said the individual driving the car that struck the victim remained on the scene.
It's unknown if the victim, who has not been identified, was walking from or to a disabled vehicle. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the incident. Please return to Woodstock-Towne Lake Patch for updates.
