3. It's not too late to get a flu shot. If you missed the Cherokee County Health Department's drive-by flu shot clinic this week, all residents are urged to head to the health department's Canton and Woodstock locations for shots, said Denise Bowman, the manager of the Cherokee County Health Department.
4. It may be September, but employers are already recruiting seasonal workers. One of them, HoneyBaked Ham, is hiring 6,500 part-time workers nationwide. Some of the openings are in locations across metro Atlanta. While the Canton location is not on the list, the Woodstock location is. Read the following announcement for details.
5. Donate $2 to MUST Ministries during the month of September and get a free Chick-fil-A milkshake in return. Chick-fil-A of Cherokee County, which includes locations at the Woodstock Dwarf House, Towne Lake, Canton Marketplace and Riverstone Parkway, launched the campaign to raise awareness of the need for MUST's new Cherokee facility. Chick-fil-A hopes to raise $4,000.
