A new firearms group that provides women with information on weapons, safe firearm handling skills, and group training has come to to Cherokee County.
The Well Armed Woman Cherokee County, Georgia Shooting Chapter is open to all women who are at least 21 years old. Membership in the chapter allows women the opportunity to be introduced to firearms and learn how to properly care and operate their weapons.
In a statement, the chapter says that women are the largest-growing demographic of firearms owners, and the desire for women to train alongside other women has grown exponentially.
The chapter meets each month at Big Woods Goods in Holly Springs to discuss firearms issues as they relate to women, as well as a significant amount of weapon familiarization and range time.
Only group members may participate in these events, and reservations for each session are required. Additionally, members are responsible for any range fees, ammunition purchases, or weapon rentals.
