As usual, the Canton Police Department had a busy week fighting crime and keeping the residents of the city safe from criminals.
In order to help keep residents safe and raise awareness of local crime, the department has gone digital and lists the locations where crimes have been reported in their jurisdiction online.
According to CrimeReports.com, the following crimes took place in Canton between Saturday, April 13 and Friday, April 19:
- On April 14 at 4:54 a.m., a battery (Family Violence Act) was reported in the 3100 block of River Ridge Drive.
- On April 14 at 1:01 p.m., a battery was reported in the 300 block of Cartersville Street.
- On April 14 at 3:03 p.m., a theft by taking was reported in the 1800 block of Marietta Highway.
- On April 14 at 3:11 p.m., a theft by taking was reported in the 2200 block of Riverstone Boulevard.
- On April 14 at 6:15 p.m., a theft by shoplifting was reported in the 1700 block of Marietta Highway.
- On April 15 at 2:15 a.m., a theft by taking was reported in the 200 block of Heritage Drive.
- On April 15 at 8:43 p.m., a theft by taking was reported in the 600 block of Marietta Road.
- On April 16 at 8:06 a.m., a theft by taking and entering auto were reported in the 800 block of Ball Ground Highway.
- On April 16 at 10:11 a.m., a theft by taking from a building was reported in the 200 block of Marietta Road.
- On April 16 at 3:30 p.m., a theft by taking from a building was reported in the 300 block of Old Donaldson Road.
- On April 17 at 2:15 p.m., identity fraud was reported in the 1 block of Anderson Avenue.
- On April 18 at 4:34 p.m., identity fraud was reported in the 500 block of Riverstone Parkway.
