The Georgia Department of Labor’s (GDOL) Cobb-Cherokee Career Center and Goodwill of North Georgia will co-sponsor a career expo Friday, April 19, according to a recent press release.
The expo will feature employers who are currently hiring, as well as there to discuss possible future employment opportunities with the job seekers. Applicants should bring plenty of resumes, a black or blue ink pen and be prepared to fill out company applications. The GDOL encourages potential employees to dress appropriately to improve their chances of landing a job.
Among those expected to participate in the event are Allied Barton Security Services, Allstate Insurance Company, Blue Star Staffing, Clear Signal Wireless, Comcast Business Services, Factory Direct Remodeling, John Prise’s State Farm Agency, Lowe’s, Mary Kay, McDonald’s, Neocom Solutions, RBD Staffing, Sullivan Group/Qualistaff and Westin Peachtree Plaza.
The expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Goodwill’s Shallowford Conference Center, located at 2401 Shallowford Road in Marietta. For more information about the expo, contact the Cobb-Cherokee Career Center at 770-528-6100.
