Don't put away those umbrellas just yet, Canton!
Rain will be in store for Canton and Cherokee County residents on Monday and Tuesday, but sunshine will quickly return as the end of the work week draws near.
Monday will bring a 90 percent chance of rain, with showers and a chance of thunderstorms occurring throughout the day, according to the National Weather Service's 7-day forecast for Canton.
Otherwise, it will be cloudy with high temperatures hovering around 65 degrees. Winds will be from the southeast and will range between 5 and 10 miles per hour, with gusts reaching as high as 20 miles per hour.
Showers and thunderstorms will continue through Monday night and into Tuesday morning. Monday's low temperature will dip into the low 40s.
Tuesday morning's rain will be replaced by decreasing clouds and a high reaching 59 degrees. Tuesday night will be mostly clear with the low temperatures decreasing to the mid 30s.
Both Wednesday and Thursday will be sunny, with highs ranging in the upper 50s. Wednesday's low will be around 32 while Thursday's low will be around 38 degrees.
Friday and Saturday will also be sunny, and slightly warmer. Highs will be the upper 60s and the low temperatures for both nights will be upper 30s to the mid 40s.
