1. Weather: The National Weather Service predicts a 20 percent chance of rain before 10 a.m. Wednesday, but after the skies clear the high temperature should reach roughly 47 degrees. Tonight's low will be around 31 degrees.

2. In Case You Missed It: Monday's town hall meeting on the fire bond referending had its fair share of shouting, cat-calling and remonstrations from both the citizens in attendance and the city councilmen running the show. Drop by this article to get a recap of all the fun.

3. Happening Now: Due to sequestration, Georgians on long-term unemployment will see some of their benefits cut back. As of December, 2012, there were just under 8,000 unemployed people in Cherokee County, an increase from November.

4. Looking Ahead: Come back at 10 a.m. to discover how the Canton Tea Party has helped pass legislation in a Cherokee town that mirrors a controversial bill in Kennesaw that drew worldwide attention more than thirty years ago.

5. On This Date in History: On March 6, 1857, the Supreme Court of the United States makes its most infamous ruling in the case of Dred Scott v. Sandford. Scott, born a slave, was suing for his freedom, claiming that his living in free states allowed him to be free. The Supreme Court disagreed, ruling that persons of African descent were not and could never be citizens of the United States, and therefore could not sue. The ruling was a major factor in the Civil War, which began in 1861.
