Do you know any up and coming young professionals destined to make a mark in Cherokee County? If so, the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce wants to hear from you!
The chamber has opened up the nomination process for its Top 10 in 10 Young Professionals recognition program.
The Top 10 in 10 'Young Professionals to Watch' initiative is designed to cultivate and showcase exceptional Cherokee County young professionals.
Coordinated by the Cherokee Chamber in partnership with Enjoy! Cherokee magazine, this recognition program will focus on 25 to 40 year olds considered to be Cherokee County's potential future leaders.
Judging criteria includes past professional achievements and awards, five to ten year professional goals along with volunteer/community activities.
Those chosen for this recognition will be recognized at the Chamber's Good Morning Cherokee breakfast held on the first Thursday in June, featured in the June Issue of Enjoy! Cherokee Magazine and nominated for the Georgia Trend magazine's 40 Under 40 recognition (Nominees must be under 40 years of age on October 1st).
Rising stars recognized in 2012 as Cherokee County's next generation of community leaders were Neil Blackman, Chris Bishop, Greta Foll, Mark Goddard, Northside Hospital-Cherokee's Alison Higgins, Cherokee County Commissioner Jason Nelms, Canton attorney Jeff Rusbridge, Jeremy Swafford, former Woodstock Director of Economic Services Billy Peppers and Cherokee Ledger-News Managing Editor Erika Neldner.
Nomination forms are available at the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce, 3605 Marietta Highway in Canton, or via the web at www.CherokeeChamber.com. All applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. Friday April 5.
