Bar Patron Who Said He Was Beaten by Police Officer Awarded $50,000 - Buckhead Patch
Members of the Atlanta City Council have agreed to pay $50,000 to a Buckhead bar patron who says he was beaten by a police officer.
The patron, Chris Putnam, has moved to New York since the incident happened in 2008.

Man Had $13,000 Taped To Inside of His Underwear - Cartersville Patch
A man jailed on assault and obscene language charges in Cartersville was found to have $13,000 in $100 bills taped to the inside of his underwear, according to the Cartersville Police Department incident report.
Witnesses said Frederick Dorell Pass, 41, of Decatur, wanted to return a recorder at Radio Shack, but became agitated when the manager wanted to ensure it was working properly during the Monday incident about 7:25 p.m. See Cartersville Patch for more details.
Four Women Injured in Head-on Collision - Cumming Patch
Four women remain hospitalized in stable condition after being injured in a head-on collision Sunday night around 9 on Bethelview Road and Hanover Lane in south Forsyth County.
Investigator Ron Tomblin of the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office said that Jocelyn Afari, 50, of Cumming, was driving a 2007 Mercury Grand Marquise and failed to stop at a stop sign. Read Cumming Patch for the full story.
